Backgrounds

Gareth Casey Updated by Gareth Casey

By default, you will start your video project by adding media, such as a screen recording or your imported videos, to a black Canvas. If any of the media that you add does not completely fill the Canvas, you will see the black background in the unoccupied spaces.

However, you can customize the Canvas to have a differently colored background or even use an image instead.

Changing the background

To change the Video Canvas background, click the Backgrounds option in the bottom left corner of the Video Canvas area to open the background options pop-up.

The background pop-up gives you a selection of colors to pick from on the default Color tab or you can click the More... option to choose your own custom color.

Or you can change to the Image tab to change the Canvas background to use a specific image instead. When choosing an image to use, you can pick from the stock background images that are included in Flashback Express 7 or you can import your own image by clicking the Import... button.
