Flashback Pro Movies

Gareth Casey Updated by Gareth Casey

Flashback Express 7 allows you to import your old FBR files from Flashback Pro so that you can continue to maintain those even after upgrading to Flashback Express 7.

Importing your Flashback Pro Movies

When you run Flashback Express 7 for the first time, it will check your computer to see if you had Flashback Pro installed in the past. If it find that you have, Flashback Express 7 will import any Flashback Pro files that it finds in your recent save locations as well as the default Flashback Pro Movies folder.

Each imported Flashback Pro will be used to create a new Project that you can open from the Hub Window.

You can also manaully import a Flashback Pro file to a video project by going to the My Files tab of the Media Panel and clicking the Import Media button. Then select the FBR file to import.

Unsupported Flashback Pro Features

Unfortunately not all of the features that were available in Flashback Pro are available in Flashback Express 7 so some edits that were made to a Flashback Pro file may not get carried over when the file is imported into Flashback Express 7

The following features will not appear in the new project if they were included in the Flashback Pro file:

- Pauses

- Interactive buttons

- Cropping of the video

- Fade in/out of objects (can be replaced with new fades)

- Blur objects (can be replaced with new blur objects)

- Fade to black or white transitions between video tracks (can be replaced with the new transitions)

- Cursor highlighting (only available for Flashback Express recordings)

- Zoom and pan effects (only available for Flashback Express recordings using the Smart Zoom feature)
