Highlight the mouse cursor

Gareth Casey Updated by Gareth Casey

Depending on what you are recording, you may want to make the mourse cursor more obvious in the saved video. Flashback Express 7 lets you add add a highlight around the cursor to make it stand out more andto also indicate when it is being clicked by pulsing.

Mouse cursor highlights are only available for Recordings made by Flashback Express 7. It is not possible to highlight the mouse cursor in videos that have been imported for other sources.
  1. Use the Recorder to make your Recording and create a new project for it.
  2. Click on the thumbnail for the new project that was made from your new Recording on the Hub window.
  3. When the project has opened in the Project Editor, click on the Cursor tab in the Media Panel.
  4. Click and drag the Highlight object from the Media Panel and drop it onto the video clip on the Timeline for your Recording. A semi-transparent yellow highlight will be added around the mouse cursor.
  5. Click on the video clip on the Timeline to display its style properties in the Style Panel and adjust the highlight's size and color. If you would like it to pulse to indicate when the mouse buttons are being clicked, enable the Highlight clicks option.
